Born in Prosteev, Czechoslovakia (1924).

Studied philosophy, medicine and   dentistry at the University of Regensburg, Bamberg and Wurzburg.    

Has   specialized in different fields of dentistry. In addition to dentistry, took an active interest in  complementary methods (Auriculomedicine, Acupuncture, Electroacupuncture according   to Voll, Neural Therapy, Homeopathy, Algesiology, Laser therapy, Magnetotherapy, Applied Kinesiology).   Dr. Mastalier, one of auriculomedicine pioneers, is renowned throughout the world and widely esteemed for his lecturer, teaching and public activities. He is the author of 4 monographs and more than160 publications.

He has been awarded numerous honorary awards in the field of medicine both inland and foreign, among them the Federal Merit Cross (Presidential Award of Germany).

Dr.Mastalier is an honorary member of acupuncture associations in Israel, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey and   Latvia.
